SEPTEMBER FAVOURITES

Hello loveys, I have been thinking of favourite posts for some time now and if its something I shud have on the blog or not.

My decision is that any month that I have things I am loving that  are new and I want to share I will, because that's what my blog is about what I love and sharing.

I will only do a favourites post when I feel I have things to share it could be a few times a year or every few months.

 

Id love to here anything you are loving, I am a total product junkie! I love trying new things!

If you like your highlight to be seen from space, this is your future best friend.

Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powders: Starlight & Candlelight
These two highlighters are pricey little gems but so worth their beautiful glow they add to the skin, I have been adding mine to matte blush to add a glow from within look.

 
A lip swatch of my fav nude lipstick Mac Velvet Teddy
Its natural and not to pink or brown, a very flattering colour that I have been reaching for a lot this month!

COLD DAY BRIGHT SMILE

This is an oldie but a goodie! I did the make up for this beautiful bride and her bridesmaid for her stunning wedding back in February.

 

I did a more intense Smokey eye and natural lip.

 

Now this beautiful friend of mine is expecting her face baby with her new husband...congrats girl! You will make an amazing mommy!!

LET ME GUESS

Words my sister often say's to me whenever she goes through new lip items I've bought, before she opens the package she gives me this look and says, " let me guess more nude colours!? "

 

Is she wrong...NOPE...but I cant help it, its what I love and I cant have enough or get enough.

If you know me then you know what I am about to say is the TRUTH, I am a jacket junkie, some people obsess over the little black dress, shoes etc. Me its all about the jackets.

 

I am such a cold blooded person I am always cold so wearing a jacket every month of the year is usually a yes for me that's my rationalization for my jacket craze!

 

If you know me you also know I am obsessed with Forever 21, so when I seen all their cute new jackets I thought id share.

THAT HAPPY FEELING

These pictures bring me such joy, my baby sister got her wedding pictures in and agreed to let me share some from her beautiful wedding day. It was the BEST day and my sister couldn't be more prefect and utterly stunning beyond words.

 

That happy feeling washes over me when I look through these images, I love my baby sister so much.

JUST KIND WORDS

This past year/summer I have done 5 weddings including friends and family, I have done the makeup for them as a favor as they have asked me to do so. With each wedding my confidence and skills improve, once I am on location the nerves settle and I begin to enjoy the process. It’s an amazing feeling being part of these beautiful and sweet bride’s day, making them look their best is not hard as I have stunning friends and family. Yes I may be bias, but it’s the truth. I leave with a sense of pride and feel so honored to have been the one they trusted with this task, the feedback and complements really uplift my spirit for the day.

I have the sweetest clients/friends and they give such kind words: “You need to do this professionally”, you need to charge, you have to do mine, I love it, and you could be a professional!” Are these just in fact kind words?

I get an overwhelming sense of confusion after I am done with a client, should I be listening to these kind words? Maybe they are onto something.

Then I start to think, well I live in a small town there is no need for this type of business, I like having a steady job and having a certain amount guaranteed for bills, and taking it on as a hobby would be a good compromise but then I think, I never went to school I have no training, its best to leave makeup to the professionals.

So far my decision is to only say yes to very close friends and family otherwise I have made the choice so far to not pursue this as I don’t think it would lead me where I want to be in life, even though I get these kind words.

FEELING

Feeling like life is leaving you behind like your failing at change and focusing on where your life “should be” rather than remembering to focus on small changes do add up, the big overall picture, maybe you are changing? Am I?

Feeling as though you can no longer talk about the struggle/rut you are in to your loved ones as you feel pathetic for the years passing by and the circumstances have not changed but only gotten worse. Feeling as though you are hindering your partner’s life by living in limbo and not putting forth the effort to change, that would benefit your relationship, and be what he deserves.

Feeling like the life you dream of is only capable if you can lose weight and control your anxiety, you seek treatment but feel overwhelmed by their strategies because you can’t seem to initiate them into daily life or even remember them.

Feeling as though this is your life, just accept it…..

All of these feelings, yet I know they are just that feelings…..

I am feeling sorry for myself and feel as though the above words are all excuses, I know that deep in my mind behind the fogginess and confusion that’s all that it is, excuses and a patterned behavior I call my life…what feeling I have that is the strongest is HOW DO I STOP FEELING THIS WAY…it’s not simple, maybe for some people, not for me. How do I move past the excuses and break the cycle and turn it into the life I want?

Sorry for the ramble and if it seems winey at all, sometimes it’s nice to just write and get my thoughts out of my head in hopes that I can have a break from them for at least a little while.
